A traditional Victorian stone house built in 1877, situated at the south side of Kendal close to the river Kent; a few minutes walk takes you into the town centre. Service buses pass nearby to Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere, Keswick and Lancaster.
We are also only just over a mile from the mainline railway station at Oxenholme.
Kendal, an attractive market town, often called the 'Gateway to the Lakes', 8 miles from Windermere, is an ideal base for touring both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Kendal has much to offer, steeped in history with a range of quality restaurants and shops, a well respected theatre and a cinema.

The 'Headlands' is centrally heated throughout with all of the twin, double and family rooms being en suite. All rooms have a TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. Ironing facilities are also available. If you have your own laptop we can also provide you with wireless internet access.
The establishment is privately owned and run by Sara and Graeme Spenceley and has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

HOW TO FIND US
Exit M6 at junction 36 and head for Kendal (6 miles). Turn off* before the town by-pass, following signs for Kendal South (A6). The 'Headlands' is situated opposite Kendal College, immediately after the first set of traffic lights on the right hand side. Private car parking is at the rear of the property. Turn right at the traffic lights onto Romney Road and then first left into Park Street and then first left again into Romney Bank. Headlands car park is directly ahead through the gates at the top of the lane.
