Harry's bed and breakfast is located only ½ mile to the north of this fine historic city. We are situated in a former Edwardian nursing home, only a 10-minute walk to the centre and all of the University colleges. We extend a warm and friendly welcome to all of our guests and will do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. All rooms are furnished to a high standard, as reflected in our 4-diamond quality grading from The English Tourist Council.
We can offer you a superb cooked English breakfast, a vegetarian alternative, or simply a continental style breakfast consisting of fresh fruit, a range of cereals, organic skimmed and semi-skimmed milk, organic yoghurts, croissants, toasted malted granary bread, jams marmalades and a selection of herbal teas, and quality fine ground Italian coffee.

We operate 4 double/twin rooms, no single rooms at all.
The four rooms are all with en suite facilites, Flat screen LCD TV with freeview and unlimited access to wireless Internet via a passkey.
Laundry facilities are available.
All local and national telephone calls to UK landlines are free of charge, via the portable house phone; this service is restricted to approximately 5 minutes per call.

Breakfast Menu
There is a wide selection of breakfast cereals available for self service, along with fresh apples, oranges and bananas. Organic skimmed or semi skimmed milk.
Full English breakfast is also offered consisting of any combination of the following:
- Pork or Beef local sausages.
- Free range organic eggs, Fried, boiled, poached or scrambled.
- Baked beans in rich tomato sauce.
- Grilled smoked/unsmoked back bacon.
- Organic mushrooms.
- Hash browns.
- White, wholemeal or malted granary toasted bread.
- Selection of Herbal teas.
- Quality fine ground Italian coffee
- English breakfast tea.

Local Facilities
We are located only a 10 minute walk from the centre of this historic city.
There are several fine restaurants only 1 or 2 minutes walk from the house.
The Hakka Chinese restaurant, newly opened and offering quality dining in an upmarket setting at reasonable prices. Across the road a little further on is The Nirala, an Indian restaurant for eating in or take away. This restaurant is newly refurbished and also offers good quality south Indian cooking for a reasonable price. Both of these restaurants are licensed.
If you want something more informal, The Old Spring public house on Chesterton road offers good quality Pub food and some fine real ales, all at reasonable prices. Across the river a short walk from The Old Spring is The Fort Saint George, a quaint old English pub well over 100 years old, and also offering real ales and quality food. Large open fires in the winter in 2 of the 3 bars. If you want something a little different, then The Portland Arms at the city end of Milton road, offers good food, an excellent selection of real ales, and live music on most nights. A warm welcome awaits you in all of these establishments.
