The Hadrian Lodge Hotel is one of the friendliest Hotels in Newcastle Upon Tyne, we are ideally situated for easy access to Newcastle City Centre and Whitley Bay by using the Metro System.

We are one of the few Hotels in Newcastle directly opposite a Metro Station which offers easy access to Newcastle City Centre and Whitley Bay, St James Park the home of Newcastle United is a short journey on the Metro.

Please note there are two Hadrian Roads in Newcastle. One is in the West End by Wingrove Road, we are in the East End going directly to the Tyne Tunnel A187.

Like most Hotels in Newcastle all our bedrooms are en-suite with colour TV along with tea and coffee making facilities. We include a continental breakfast in our room price! which is: choice of cereals, toast, preserves, tea and coffee, fruit juices grapefruit and orange, and scrambled egg.

We have wireless internet connection in a designated area. All our bedrooms are non smoking, with a strict policy that if ignored a £120.00 charge would be made.

We are half a mile from the new SEGEDUNUM ROMAN FORTmuseum which is a major attraction in the North East, because it is the last fort on the famous Roman Hadrians Wall, this is why it is named Wallsend, a full sized bath house is an interesting feature of this intriguing site.

We are 1/2 a mile from (Hadrians Wall)The walk along Hadrians Wall is from Cumbria to Wallsend, many thousands of people are expected to complete this walk in its entirety, more details are available from the tourist board.

If you are Walking Hadrians Wall we can provide packed lunches, and our large car park is ideal to leave your car for £2 per day.
