| Accommodation The accommodation consists of 7 letting rooms and all rooms feature tea/coffee facilities and televisions. Guests are assured of a warm welcome and pets are welcome. Evening meals and special diets can be catered with prior arrangements. We have garage facilities for motorcycles and cycles if required. The town is laced with many find victorian buildings and surrounded by beautiful countryside within 2 minutes drive of the town centre. For those of you who are more active, the town features it's own golf course, which has spectacular views in all directions, boasts one of the best bowling greens in Europe, indoor bowls facilities, plus tennis courts, all within walking distance of the town centre and Greylands. Transport is served well within the town with rail links to Sansea and Shrewsbury on the Heart of Wales line. Whatever time you visit our town you will find Llandrindod is a ray of sunshine, there is always something to see or do and the people of Llandrindod Wells guarantee everyone a warm welcome. ![]() The centre of the town has a range of individual shops that offer typical welsh arts and crafts and there are tearooms and cafes to suit everyone's taste. On the edge of the town centre is the towns green and park where you can enjoy the flowers or listen to the occasional band play at the bandstand. National Cycle Museum. This landmark building - Tom Norton's Automobile Palace, in times gone by was used as the main Austin car and part distributors for Mid and North Wales. Today it presents the history of cycling with over 200 cycles on display. Llandrindod Lake - The lake with it's surrounding park and children's play area is only a few minutes walk from the centre of town and is well worth a visit. Beside the lake is a craft and souvenir shop and also a cafe where you can sit and relax whilst enjoying afternoon tea and refreshment. You can stroll all around the lake and watch the ducks and swans that inhabit this area. ![]() The Pavillion - Throughout the year a variey of events take place including male voice choirs, from Builth Wells, and Rhayadar Royal Albert Hall Theatre - The annual Drama Festival takes place over 6 day period in May and puts on an Old Time Music Hall every Thursday night. The Annual Victorian Festival Once a year the town pulls together to host one of the biggest Victorian Festivals in the country. An annual event that is held in late August and lasts for 9 days. The towns unique architecture provides the perfect backdrop for this festival and there are many period events including a funfair, street entertainers (provided free of charge) and a good programme of music hall sing-a-longs, murder mysteries, talks on this era and the Grand Ball. Many of the townspeople wear full costume (including your hosts). The end of this event is marked by a torchlight procession followed by a glorious firework display over the lake ...... not to be missed. Elan Valley About 20 minutes drive from the Guest House is Elan Valley, here you can enjoy the peace and tranquility from the surroundings and then treat yourself to refreshments in the visitor's centre restaurant. In the centre there is a souvenir shop and a cinema that features how and when the dams were built. For those of you who enjoy walking, there are various routed walks displayed and pathways along the side of the reservoir. Gigrin Farm 8 miles to the north of Llandrindod Wells is Rhayader, a delightful tranquil town. One of its biggest attractions is the Kite Feeding Centre, here visitor's can watch daily the feeding of the Kites and Buzzards which takes place around 3pm. |
