| Grey House Hotel is an Edwardian property built in 1910, surrounded by attractive gardens, with trees, shrubs, conifers, rose and herbaceous borders. It is situated in the quiet residential area of Linthorpe, about 1½ miles from the town centre. Situated close to both the A19 and the A66, the hotel is within driving distance of the Dales and North Yorkshire Moors, also Cathedral cities of Durham and York and the historical coastal town of Whitby and just two miles from the birthplace of Captain Cook. The hotel has it's own off road private car park for the guests use. Internet access is provided free of charge.  Décor and furnishings are in keeping with the character of the building. All rooms have en-suite facilities, together with direct dial telephone, television, hair dryers and hot drinks tray. The homely atmosphere will immediately put you at east and our staff will spare no effort to make you feel very welcome.
