| Gors-yr-Eira is a homely bed and breakfast establishment set in a rural Mountain Village of Myndd Llandygai. Positioned midway between the village of Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon, and Bethesda, the gateway to the beautiful Ogwen Valley; 11/2 miles from the A5 and 21/2 miles from the A55 Expressway. An ideal base for exploring Snowdonia mountain range. The Isle of Anglesey and North Wales Coastal resorts. A host of outdoor activities can be experienced from gentle walking to mountaineering and water sports. There are a number of footpaths and cycle tracks on our doorstep. Within half an hour's drive are the medieval World Heritage castles of Caernarfon, Beaumaris and Conwy. Nearby National Trust properties include Penrhyn Castle and Plas Newydd. Slightly further afield are the exquisite world-renowned Bodnant Gardens, the unique fantasy village of Portmeirion and the Peninsula. The University City of Bangor is only five miles away and offers a good range of shops and restaurants, a cinema, theatre and the famous beautifully restored Victorian pier. You could also catch the fast ferry at Holyhead where you can be in Dublin in 40 minutes. Directions From the North West (A55) Take the A5 exit from the A55 Expressway, follow the A5 towards Betws-y-Coed until the town of Bethesda. Pass through Bethesda and as you leave, take the next junction to your right (B4409) over the stone bridge, bearing right. Continue and take the first left at the bus shelter and turn left up the hill until you come to the Chapel, bear right over the river, and we are on your left as you crest a short hill. From the South East (A5) As you drive through the mountains from Capel Curig, Lyn Ogwen is on your right. Drive down the Ogwen Valley, passing the Ogwen Bank Caravan Park on your left. Take the first left after the Caravan Park (B4409), over the stone bridge and bear right. Continue and take the first left at the bus shelter up the hill until you come to the chapel, bear right over the river, and we are on your left as you crest a short hill.
