This historic hotel is situated in the centre of the old market town of Uppingham opposite the XVI century public school. The town has many antique, book and curio shops in which to browse. It is the ideal setting for both the business person or the tourist who wishes to explore Rutland.
The hotel lends out to motorists cassettes that give guided tours of and Rutland Villages.

| The small market town of Uppingham is the ideal centre from which toexplore the delights of Rutland, with so much to offer in the immediate area. For the energetic, Rutland Water,Europe's largest man-made lake, approximately six miles to the north east comprises trout fishing, windsurfing, sailing, cycling, walking and ornithology. Whilst to the south, Eyebrook Reservoir produces a stretch of water renowned fortrout fishing. In addition, golf, horse-riding and tuition in fishing can be arranged for guests. |

A high chair for infants is available on request.
The Restaurant has a choice of reasonably priced wines from all over the world.
Clients with special dietary requirements are encouraged to discuss their requirements with the Chef.
