Facilities Every room has a vanity basin, television, tea & coffee making facilities, and the en-suites also have a w.c. and a shower. There is a large residents lounge and plenty of private parking at the front of the guest-house. Location Perfectly situated in a prime conservation area, the town centre is a short walk through Christchurch Park(gates opposite); and it is a short drive to the countryside or coast. Directions FROM THE SOUTH (A12 & LONDON) At the end of the A12, on the Copdock Mill interchange, go over the A14 towards Tesco & Toys R Us. Follow the London Road (A1214) into Ipswich going straight through all traffic lights (not literally—be safe now!), down the long Crane Hill and turn left into Yarmouth Road at the lights just past Sainsburys petrol station. Follow this road through, go over the twin mini-rounabouts and up the Valley Road hill. At the brow of the hill turn right at the 2nd set of lights into Henley Road; and Park Road is the 3rd on the left, on a sharp right-hand bend. The Gables is 50 yards down on the left FROM THE NORTH (A14 & CAMBRIDGE/NORWICH) Turn off the A14 at the first (West) junction into Ipswich. Follow the Bury Road (ASDA on right, B&Q on left) into the Norwich Road, and go down to the twin mini roundabouts. Turn left at these and go up the Valley Road hill. At the brow of hill turn right at the 2nd set of lights into Henley Road; and Park Road is the 3rd on the left, on a sharp right-hand bend. The Gables is 50 yards down on the left. |
