A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at The Firgarth, an elegant Victorian house built in Lakeland stone around 1875, with views over Wynlass Beck

Our comfortable bedrooms all have en suite facilities, colour TV, clock radio, hospitality tray, hairdryer and a range of toiletries. The rooms are decorated on a combination of modern and traditional design.

The Firgarth is situated a short walk from Windermere centre and rail/bus station. All rooms are en-suite and ample off road parking is available. Our guest lounge is comfortable and spacious with a selection of books and games to keep you amused in the evenings. Information on local walks is available but what better place to start your walk than the viewpoint overlooking Lake Windermere just round the corner from the Firgarth. Hearty breakfasts are served in the adjacent breakfast room.

To reach us by road, leave the M6 motorway at exit 36, follow the A591 for 16 miles to Windermere, where you will find us on the left hand side of the road.
