The Essex Golf and Country Club Hotel is set in the picturesque village of Earls Colne, with superb views over the surrounding countryside. Its location is ideal, being just a twenty minute drive from both Stansted Airport and local links to London.
The Lodge boasts 42 spacious En Suite bedrooms, comprising of Twins, Doubles and Suites. Many of these rooms offer resplendent views over the 18-hole Championship golf course.
All rooms offer Colour Television with additional satellite channels, Tea & Coffee making facilities, Hairdryer, Trouser Press and complimentary toiletries. A wake up service is also available on request. Wireless Internet Hotspot is available throughout the Hotel for a small charge. All residents receive complimentary use of the Swimming Pool, Sauna, Steam room and Spa bath. Reduced rates are also offered for Tennis court hire and Golf.

The Club is situated on the B1024 between the villages of Coggeshall and Earls Colne. The Essex is very easy to reach from the A12 at Marks Tey or from the M11 at Stansted. Stay on the A120 and you cannot miss The Essex!
By train Kelvedon is the nearest mainline station, only 50 minutes from Liverpool Street. The Club is also conveniently just 30 miles from Stansted Airport. |

Golf
With an 18-hole Championship course, 9-hole short course, 20 bay Driving range, Learner Academy Centre, indoor practice bunker and award winning PGA professionals, The Essex Golf and Country Club is the most comprehensive golf facility in the Eastern Counties. Lodge residents receive discounted rates on both courses.
Gymnasium
The gym features a Technogym key system and has a wide array of cardiovascular and static weight stations. A team of friendly and professional staff are on hand at all times to offer advice on all health and fitness matters.
Swimming Pool
The 13 metre, by 8 metre deck-level swimming pool is not only ideal for exercise, but with a spa bath, sauna, steam room and sun terrace, it's an ideal place for relaxation. The adjoining toddlers pool ensures great fun can be had by the whole family. All Lodge residents receive complimentary use of all swimming facilities.
Tennis
The Essex boasts nine tennis courts in total, six indoor and three outdoor. Guests receive discounted rates on court hire, but must ensure they are equipped with rackets and non-marking shoes.

The club is lucky enough to have its own onsite Beauty Salon 'Beauty Benefits' and Hairdressing Salon 'Fringe Benefits'. Guests can enjoy traditional health and beauty therapies and innovative new treatments. Dining at The Essex
Our newly refurbished 'Pulse Bar' provides a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for guests to dine in. It is built in the centre of the building and features a wonderful summer veranda with outstanding views overlooking the beautifully maintained 18-hole course. The Pulse bar offers an economically priced bar menu, a daily specials menu and a three course evening menu to suit all budgets. Food is available all day through to 9pm.

All three function rooms benefit from natural daylight and are fitted with quality furnishings and have air conditioning, lighting systems and Wi-fi connections.
