| ELNOR, 100 year old town house, handily situated between the Railway Station (main line Paddington - Penzance) and Liskeard town centre. The homely, relaxed atmosphere is remarked upon by many of our guests with special comments on the clean and cheerful décor. |
| There are nine comfortably furnished bedrooms, seven of which are with en-suite shower and toilet, tea/coffee making facilities, heating, colour television and direct dial telephone, four of these en-suite rooms are on the ground floor. The remaining two rooms have heating, wash basins, shaver points, tea/coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone. There are two toilets and one shower room. The lounge is a light airy room on the ground floor with heating, colour television and comfortable seating. The small carved walnut panelled licensed bar is situated in the pleasant, homely dining room. At the rear of Elnor, is the walled-in private car park with a back entrance to the guest house. There is an excellent variety of restaurants and pubs within walking distance, with many more a short drive or taxi away. |
| Liskeard is an attractive, ancient market town with a population of over six thousand. The market is situated in the middle of the town and operated on Mondays and Thursdays. Facilities include an indoor swimming pool for the more energetic, at the Lux Park sports complex, and a local history museum depicting the past life of the area. |
| Elnor is well situated as a base for travelling Cornwall and South Devon as Liskeard is on the junction of the A38 and A390. The Railway Station is a five minute walk away with connections to Plymouth, Penzance, Newquay, ST Ives etc. There is also a coach service to similar destinations. The nearest beach is nine miles away, at the picturesque fishing port of Looe, and four miles north of Liskeard lies Bodmin Moor. Within a twenty minute drive there are several golf course, including the famous St Mellion Golf & Country Club. Many other popular tourist attractions within easy reach includethe Dobwalls Family Adventure Park & Forest Railroad. Also the new Eden Project, only 20 miles away opens its visitor centre in the year 2000 and is scheduled to be fully opened in 2001. |
