All of the 12 bedrooms are en suite; one twin bedded room, one double and one room with 5' Sleigh bed and sofa are is on the ground floor. All have remote control televisions, individual heating thermostats, double glazing, direct dial telephones, and tea and coffee making facilities.
Additionally, five larger bedroom shave four poster/ heavenly beds with clock radio/ alarms ideal for making any stay special. The others have antique brass, wrought iron or period wooden bedsteads - one with a canopy. Some rooms, at the rear, have views of the Haldon Hills, and the folly, known as Belvedere Tower. There is a choice of single, double, twin bedded, or family rooms. For guests comfort smoking is not permitted in bedrooms. |

Car Parking is not a problem. Limited parking is available with priority given to disabled guests, however there is a large car park opposite (FREE overnight) with restricted car parking alongside - opposite our front doors. |
The Family Michael and Kay Rattenbury's families have resided in rural Devon for generations. They take great pleasure in helping guests plan their stay in this beautiful area. Many maps and guide books are available in the superb Edwardian Residents' Lounge. |

We especially recommend Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, East and South Devon with its picturesque thatched cottages, and the coastal resort of Torbay, and naval Dartmouth. Many guests travel further afield to Regency Bath, Salisbury's Cathedral, King Arthur's Tintagel, Artists' St Ives, Land's End and Padstow. APPROXIMATELY ONE HOUR'S DRIVE TO THE FAMOUS "EDEN PROJECT" IN CORNWALL, which many of our guests visit from 'The Edwardian'. |

History Nos 30 and 32 were built as private residences on the Alexandra Nursery site. In 1912 the architect, John Archibald Lucas, sold no 30 to Miss Elizabeth Alice Bunclark. No 32 was converted from the Rectory for the parish of St. Sidwell into a guest house in 1963. Several guests have recalled their confirmation classes here during the war years. No 30 was converted into guest accommodation during the 1970's. |

Directions from M5 From Junction 29 follow signs to CITY CENTRE. Continue for two miles past Heavitree shops. Follow the white lines towards the city centre. You will find 'The Edwardian' on the left hand side of Heavitree Road, after Exeter University's School of Education (St. Luke's). CAR PARKING is directly opposite. |
