| Cuisine Our food is freshly cooked using local ingredients where possible.  Inclusive in room rate is a sumptuous full Scottish Breakfast. There is a widespread selection of Cereals, Yogurts and fresh Grapefruits together with a range of Fruit Juices followed by a full hearty Scottish Breakfast. Bacon, Sausage, Black Pudding, Mushrooms. Tomatoes, Hash Browns, and Eggs - all free range. May be fried, poached, boiled or scrambled. Alternatively a full continental breakfast is available with a wide range of cold meats. Eyemouth Kippers are available as a fish alternative at breakfast.  Vegetarians will feel at ease with the options available. DINNER Our emphasis is on using local produce, particularly sea foods whenever possible A full Dinner with Three Courses, Cheese Board and Coffee is available at a price of £18.50. Two courses are £15.00 inclusive of cheese board and coffee. LICENCE Dunlaverock House has a licence for residents. A wide range of beverages is available for residents. Our Wine List whilst not extensive is carefully selected offering a comprehensive range of Wines starting with House Wine at £9.50-£15.00. After dinner guests are able to partake of coffee and drinks in front of the natural log fire. | Location Dunlaverock Guesthouse is situated on the Berwickshire Coast in the historic Scottish Borders. Dunlaverock occupies an elevated position overlooking Coldingham Sands.  The extensive peaceful gardens lead directly to the beach. Coldingham is a small village that lies 3 miles from the A1 and is 45 miles south of Edinburgh. Berwick upon Tweed with its extensive rail connections lies 12 miles to the south. The village lies adjacent to the un-spoilt village of St. Abbs and it's National Seabird Nature Reserve. Scenic walks and trails along the Cliff Tops or fishing trips from St. Abbs or on Coldingham Loch provide local leisure facilities not to mention the numerous fine golf courses within a thirty-mile drive. The area is acknowledged as one of outstanding natural beauty. Within less than hours drive is some of Britain's finest places to visit: Berwick with its walled ramparts, Alnwick Castle with its magnificent gardens. Floors Castle at Kelso, Paxton House and the town of Melrose with its historic abbey to name but a few.  Dunlaverock House is surrounded by an extensive peaceful garden with a private path leading to the beach and seashore. Croquet facilities are available on the lawn. The two main bedrooms with their large picture windows, lounge and dining room have a magnificent view of the coastal panorama. The house with its spacious proportions and period features is a superb place to stay, long or short, in Berwickshire. |
| Rooms All rooms are tastefully decorated in traditional style; We have a ground floor room which is wheelchair accessible. with walk in shower and rails.  Both of the spacious sea view rooms have full en suite facilities and have stunning panoramic sea views.
