Things To Do

The Maelor Way, a long distance footpath, runs just a field away. Then there are golf courses at Carden Park, Whitchurch and Hawkstone Park, local fishing, Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse just up the road - or borrow our mountain bikes to explore the lanes, which abound with wild flowers in spring and early summer. Hanmer, with its impressive mere and medieval church is a short walk or bike ride away.

Further afield, the historic centres of Chester and Shrewsbury, or market towns such as Nantwich or Oswestry provide interesting excursions, as do the National Trust properties of Erddig Hall and Chirk and Powys Castles.
