No longer being a working farm, the House is a Grade II listed building some 500 years old, with oak beams and inglenook fireplace and moulded ceiling. There is a large garden with ample parking facilities. The village has two public houses and two restaurants, all serving good food and within 5 minutes easy walking. The village is within approximately 20 minutes easy reach of Beach, Moors and National Trust properties. There is also a bus service.
All rooms have TV, tea/coffee facilities, and there is a laundry room available to guests. How to Find Us DIRECTIONS FROM M5 Leave M5 at junction 31, on to A30 Okehampton road, leave A30 at next sign, sign posted Ide, down to roundabout, keep left, following signs to Ide, ¾ mile village on left, and 50 yards into village Drakes Farm on left, under archway the old Farmhouse is on right. Car park is at the top of the house on right. DIRECTIONS FROM EXETER Leave Exeter sign posted Plymouth/Okehampton. After last set of traffic lights Ide is sign posted ¾ mile. Pass under A30, then take first exit to Ide. The village is ½ mile on left, and Drakes Farm is again on the left. The old Farmhouse is under Archway on right, with car park at the top of the House.
