Dartmouth lies at the mouth of the River Dart, a spectacular deepwater estuary in South Devon. It is one of the great historic towns of England and is renowned as a holiday centre. It is situated within a designated area of outstanding natural beauty with superb coastal scenery, excellent beaches and the magnificent River Dart which is navigable for eight miles to Totnes. Picturesque towns and villages, steeped in history surround it. Kingswear lies opposite Dartmouth on the east bank of the river, Dittisham is a beautiful village lying inland on the west bank and Blackawton, Stoke Fleming and Street are villages set high on surrounding hills and cliffs.
The beauty of the River Dart can be recognised throughout the world. You can enjoy a leisurely cruise on a river steamer, hire your own boat or experience the thrill of sailing and fishing on the open sea. You can take the steam train to Torbay, visit the many historic castles and houses in the area and enjoy the wild expanses of Dartmoor National Park. The cliff scenery is outstanding, there are beaches to suit every taste and is a wide variety of attractions such as zoos, industrial museums and leisure centres in the area including the Dartmouth Golf and Country Club. |

An unrivalled view overlooking what must be Devon's loveliest harbour makes Riverside Court a truly delightful place to spend a well-earned holiday. It is a purpose built building containing eleven-holiday apartments- on the level and centrally situated on the quayside in the heart of Dartmouth at South Embankment.
The apartments are modern and very spacious with fitted carpets throughout, and quite self-contained with their own front door. Each has a large living room with colour television and electric fires; two bedrooms; fitted kitchen with electric cooker and refrigerator. Electricity is a 1 slot meter. Half tiles bathroom and WC with instant flow electric shower.The accommodation is arranged to take from two to eight persons with every facility. Washing Machine's in most Riverside Flats not 1 + 2 Riverside.
Apartments 1, 2, and 3: at the front of the building have one double and a pair of bunk beds in the front room; two singles in the second bedroom with a drop down double in the lounge. From their individual balconies these three apartments enjoy extensive views of the beautiful River Dart.
Apartment 4: 1 Double bed in one room, 2nd room has 4 singles and drop down bed in lounge.
Apartments 5, 6, 8 and 9: also have balconies, but these are at the side of the building. The sleeping accommodation consists of a large bedroom with one double and two singles, a smaller bedroom with one double and a drop down bed in the lounge.
Apartment 7: is a one-bedroom apartment with one double but there is a double bed settee in the lounge. Suitable for a maximum of four persons, this is an extremely comfortable and cosy apartment.
Apartments 10 and 11 have a character all their own- with large lounges, you look through your bay window to the character architecture of Fairfax Place and on leaving you front door you are within a few yards of the river and harbour. There are two bedrooms, the first with one double and a single bed, whilst the second has two singles, there is also a drop-down double in the lounge.
Bed linen and a cot are available on request when booking.
Car parking is difficult in Dartmouth, but we are able to offer one space per apartment at our own private car park- only five minutes' level walk away. |
Spectacular views of the Dart estuary are just one of the superb features of Dartside Court.It is purpose-built building with a separate balcony to each of nine apartments. There is a pleasant walled garden to the rear and undercover parking per one car per apartment. The situation is central, level and close to the shopping centre, being about 50 yards from the River Dart. Coronation Park- about 100 yards, has putting greens, tennis courts, dinghy park, children's play area and extensive playing fields where you can play games or just sit and watch the boats go by.

As the name implies, Harbourside is situated on the quay, just along from our Riverside Court property and of course has the same wonderful views across Dartmouth harbour. Each apartment has its own balcony and is situated in a central, level position.
The apartments are tastefully furnished, are totally furnished, are totally self contained and have fully fitted carpets through out. Each apartment has a lounge/ dining room with colour television and electric fires fitted kitchen with electric cooker and refrigerator, bathroom and WC with bath and instant flow electric shower.
Harbourside 2 + 3 have washing machines and new fitted kitchen.
The accommodation is arranged to sleep four to six persons with comfort. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and in bedroom 2 there are two single beds. The lounge has a full size double bed settee. The apartments are all electric with 1 slot meters. Bed linen and a cot are available on request when booking.
Car parking is provided one car space per apartment, at our private car park a five minutes walk away from Victoria Road. |
These are smaller family units, ideal if you like a cosy atmosphere. Many like this accommodation as there are no steps to the front door, which is situated at the rear of the building- only a gentle slope from Newcomen Road. The windows overlook this road, with glimpses of the river.
19 Higher Street, Dartmouth Apartment 1 on the ground floor can accommodate four persons. The lounge/ dining room has a full size double bed settee, colour television and electric fires. Bedroom with double bed; kitchen with electric cooker and refrigerator. Bathroom and WC combined with full bath and shower. Central heating.
Apartment two on the first floor, which can accommodate four to five persons, has an open plan living room with a full size double bed settee, colour television and electric fire; bedroom with double bed and one single bed; bathroom and WC combined.
