Dining
One of the `cornerstones` for an enjoyable stay at the Cross Keys Hotel is our freshly prepared food for which we have gained a substantial local reputation.
At the Cross Keys Hotel we feature Scottish produce wherever possible and we are fortunate to be situated within an area that has such an abundance of locally produced food. Fish and shell fish straight from the harbours on the Solway Coast, Venison from the hills around us and feathered Game from the local Estates. Local lamb, Aberdeen Angus Beef, farmhouse cheeses, locally smoked salmon and meats and freshly harvested fruit and vegetables are all available to our Chef.
At the Cross Keys Hotel, we offer a daily changing menu using the best seasonal produce available to us, simply prepared and cooked food retaining the natural flavours and textures.
Our Chef, Terauna Bateman – an Australian with strong Scottish ties – brings an international touch to our menu of traditional Scottish food. With his experience and our passion for using the best produce available to us – you can be assured of some of the finest food in the Region will always feature on our menu.
To complement the menu at the Cross Keys Hotel is our wine list features carefully selected Old and New World wines and quality vintages. And to round off that perfect meal we have a good range of Port and Cognac and Brandy. And then, of course, there is our extensive range of good Scottish Malt Whisky’s to try……….
