Character and Comfort Croft House offers Guest Accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis, in a beautiful Grade II Listed Georgian property, that has much style and character. We take great pride and pleasure in providing all our guests with the highest standards of guest service and offering any assistance required, to enhance their stay in Exmoor. The guest accommodation includes: a large inviting lounge; a bright welcoming dining room, where our generous breakfasts are served; a small secluded walled garden and well equipped character en-suite rooms. The property has many original features and is uniquely furnished. Our Bed and Breakfast short and long breaks are great value with a good Devon splash of style and excellent customer care. |
Croft House Services and facilities A warm welcome awaits with welcome refreshments on arrival in the large and inviting guest lounge or the secluded walled garden. We will be pleased to help to arrange any activities or provide advice on local events, attractions and beauty spots. We can also book your evening meal, if required at one of the good restaurants, bistros or pubs, within walking distance from the Croft House. Transport and luggage transfer can also be arranged for your arrival and departure. Croft House has a wide range of information to help you make the most of your breakaway, including maps, walking and visitor guides, transport links and timetables. High-speed wireless broadband Internet access is also available on your own laptop. A generous choice of breakfast is provided, including, fresh fruit salads, yoghurts, cereals, full cooked English or a lighter selection of cooked food and vegetarian options all freshly prepared. For the safety of all our guests all rooms are Non-smoking. |
| The Accommodation You have a choice of delightful comfortable character bedrooms. All bedrooms are en-suite or with private facilities, and are well equipped with TV, radio / alarm, hairdryer, and hospitality tray. We aim to accommodate to your requirements and can arrange our rooms to suit your needs. We can host double / twin en-suite rooms, some family groups and singles. With two landings the hotel is also ideal for group bookings, where you can book 2 or 3 adjacent rooms on one of the two floors. The Super king en-suite double or large twin en-suite on the first landing provides that extra space and comfort; The delightful Lynton Suite with its own sitting room has an extra touch of luxury and is ideal for the longer Bed and Breakfast break away. |

| Bookings Reservations will normally require a deposit of 30% of booking value or minimum of 25.00 per person, payable by credit/debit card or Cheque. A handling charge of 2% is made for credit card payments; no charge is incurred for Cheque or debit card payments. Your reservation will be held for 7 days until receipt of deposit. Arrivals Rooms will be available from 4pm. To assist us in providing you with a warm welcome, your notification of approximate time of arrival, prior to your arrival date, is requested. Should you wish to arrive earlier please let us know and we will endeavour to have your room ready for you. Your Stay If we can help enhance your stay in any way please do not hesitate to request. Please advise in advance any special requirements that you may have. Please note that for the safety of all our guests Croft House is non smoking. Departure We request rooms are vacated on your day of departure by 10:30am Cancellation Policy Croft House is small privately run business and cancellations can have a major impact, however where appropriate cancellations are treated sympathetically. In the unlikely event of cancellation of all or part of your stay, it is in your interests to let us know as soon as possible. All deposits are non refundable and whilst every effort will be made to re-let rooms, Croft House reserves the right to charge up to 75% of the total booking on cancellation. In the case of last minute/bank holiday cancellations of reservations or bookings or non arrivals, Croft House may charge up to 100% of the booking value. Holiday insurance is widely available and recommended, especially for longer stay bookings. No reduction is made for meals not taken or earlier departure than booked. |
| How to Find Us By Road - From the M5 Junction 27, take the A361 towards Barnstaple. After 23 miles, at Aller Cross Roundabout, take the third exit and join the A399 towards Lynton. After 12 miles turn right at Blackmoor Gate, onto the A39. At Barbrook village, turn left opposite the Petrol garage onto the B3234 to Lynton, then fork left after half a mile up Station Hill. On the other side of the hill, follow the road into the town, turning right into Lee Road. At the Town Hall and Memorial, turn right into Cross Street, The Croft House is at the junction at the end of Cross Street on Lydiate Lane. Alternatively from Minehead and Porlock on the A39, pass through Lynmouth at the bottom of the steep hill, crossing over the River Lyn Bridge following the road that turns to the right directed to Lynton. Take the very sharp right hand hairpin turn after the steep incline leading you into Lynton on the main road (Lee Road).From the main road, Lee Road, turn opposite the Town Hall and Memorial, into Cross Street, The Croft House is at the junction at the end of Cross Street on Lydiate Lane. By Public Transport - Train or National Coach to Barnstaple - then bus or taxi to Lynton.
