| Overlooking Ludlow's famous castle in the heart of South Shropshire: the ideal place to get away from it all . . . The historic town with its proud Norman castle and large parish church has many fine examples of Tudor, Georgian and Victorian architecture. It has a market several days a week and many small, interesting shops. The Cliffe Hotel is conveniently placed ten minutes walk from the castle and shops, in a quiet location across the River Teme amongst fields and woodland. Built in the 19th century and standing in its own extensive grounds, the Cliffe Hotel has a large car park. There are also patio and lawned areas where guests can relax. It has nine bedrooms with en suite facilities. Single, double, twin and family rooms are available, all equipped with colour televisions, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers and direct dial telephones. There is full central heating throughout the hotel. |

| The Cliffe has a Full On Licence with a well stocked bar, providing a wide range of drinks including real ales. Restaurant and Bar meals are available and there is an extensive wine list. The hotel is ideally placed for country walks in the Mortimer Forest and fishing on the River Teme. Golf, putting, bowls, tennis, swimming, boating, canoeing, cycling and horse riding are also available locally, as is a day at Ludlow Race Course. The Cliffe Hotel makes an ideal base from which to explore the rich variety of country and historical sites in the area. These include Offa's Dyke to the west and the Clee Hills and Wenlock Edge to the east. To the north are Stokesay Castle, Long Mynd and Caer Caradoc while to the south is the Black and White Village Trail in Herefordshire. Further afield are the county town of Shrewsbury, the cathedral cities of Worcester and Hereford, the Severn Valley Railway and the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge. |
