A Traditional Hotel The Castle Hotel is a Grade II listed building carefully restored to keep its original character and charm. The hotel has unrivalled Castle and Cathedral views. The main building is over 15o years old and our beamed Lodge rooms can boast some 250 years of history. Whilst our 15 standard, 3 deluxe rooms and the Lincoln Suite each retain their individuality, all offer the service and facilities expected of a modern hotel including free parking. Nestled in Lincoln's historic core and ideally situated close to both the Cathedral and the Castle, the Castle Hotel is a haven of tranquility. Believed to be the only hotel built on the site of Lincoln's Roman forum the visitor can literally reach out and touch ancient walls that have stood the test of time since the City's Roman Occupation. The Castle Hotel is privately owned and totally committed to offering you the best possible service and hospitality we can. Accommodation Each of our 20 rooms are individually decorated and most are named after British Castles. Goodrich-A deluxe room with dressed bed, trouser press, mini-bar and Hi-Fi named after Goodrich Castle in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire. De La Haye- is one of our deluxe rooms with beamed ceilings along with a window seat looking out to the Lincoln Castle. Richmond-a deluxe room also with a dressed bed, named after Richmond Castle in Richmond, North Yorkshire. We have two small lounges, one looking on to the Castle and one with a window looking on to the Mint Wall. Knights Restaurant Knights, our award winning a la Carte restaurant is also open to non-residents and is fully licensed. It offers a unique combination of friendly yet professional service. We specialise in both traditional and modern English Cuisine, food is cooked freshly to order and wherever possible we use locally produced meat, fish and vegetables. We also have a good choice of freshly prepared vegetarian dishes. Knights also boasts an extensive wine list to complement your meal.
