Once you have visited the hotel it is easy to see why they have made it their life's work. Understandable, too, that many a guest's inclination to linger has quickly become a resolve, and why they should then return to the Burlington year after year. With the knowledge that they will receive the warmest possible welcome, efficient and friendly service throughout their stay, enjoy every comfort and be proffered the hotel's renowned six-course table d'hote dinners every evening, their only concerns are those of having a relaxing holiday. The hotel's luxurious heated outdoor swimming pool will feature in that, of course, as will the secluded grounds and the quiet south-facing location. Nearby are botanic gardens, a smuggling museum, a rare breeds park and tropical birds park amongst numerous other attractions. And at the end of the day? The Burlington's guest rooms are all en-suite, tastefully furnished and decorated and many boast a balcony with uninterrupted views of the English Channel. One room has a four-poster bed. The restaurant is non-smoking and there are both smoking and non-smoking lounges.
