| Tourist information Plymouth has a wealth of interesting places to see and none more so than the historic Barbican. It will take you five minutes to walk to this enchanting part of the city, where bustling cobbled streets surround a picturesque harbour. It is here you will find the National Marine Aquarium, the Barbican Glassworks and the Mayflower Centre. Along with a delightful selection of antique, craft and gift shops. ![]() We are a two minute walk from both the Theatre Royal & Plymouth Pavilions, and only 750yds from Brittany Ferries. The Railway and coach stations are also nearby and the Barbican leisure park (Warner village) is less than a mile away. HMS Raleigh is only 3 miles by car. A short drive inland and you will discover the breathtaking beauty of Dartmoor National Park, where you will find peace and tranquility in one of the finest areas of un-spoilt wild moor land the country has to offer. Alternatively a short drive along the coast and you will find some of the most spectacular coastal scenery and un-spoilt beaches anywhere in England. The Eden Project is just 45 minutes away by car. When it comes to dining out the choice is endless; the Barbican is where you will find some of Plymouths finest restaurants, many serving fish fresh from the Quay, alternatively there are several restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We have tried most of them! So if you'd like some suggestions we'd be pleased to help. In fact we are more than happy to help with any queries you might have about Plymouth and the surrounding area. |
