Bramble Park,19K

Despite being "off the beaten track", Bramble Park is but five minutes drive from the M20/M26 intersection, making this location ideal for both exploring South East England and as a set-off point to almost anywhere.

Gatwick is only a 35 minute journey, Heathrow 55 minutes (except when affected by heavy traffic). Tourists wishing to visit London will find the fast train service from Borough Green to Victoria convenient. Walkers please note that the Wealdway, North Downs Way, and Pilgrims Way pass nearby.

Originally built as a Rectory circa 1856 and extended later in the same century, the house has large centrally heated comfortable rooms, decorated and furnished in keeping with the building. It is, and has the ambience of, a private home, in which you will be made welcome. So there are NO "en-suite" rooms, NO tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms and NO television in every room. However, there IS a guests television lounge, and tea and coffee IS served on request without charge.

There is adequate off-road parking. In respect of evening meals, within easy walking distance are two pubs, both of which provide good food as well as good cheer at very reasonable prices.

The village contains some 200 dwellings, a happy blend of properties of all ages, although as these are scattered it appears smaller. It's history stems back to pre-historic times as witness the Neolithic Coldrum Stones, and in 788AD was given by Offa, King of Mercia, to the See of Rochester. The church has some truly remarkable coursed flint walling.

Our current charges are £25 per person, for bed and a full English cooked breakfast. Perhaps the most pertinent fact about Bramble Park is that very few guests stay only once. Others have planned to stay just one night, then been so captivated that they stay all week. Thus, particularly if you need more than one room, it is advisable to book as early as possible.

Bramble Park is open all the year. We regret that we do not accept dogs.
