The Bonheur is a small friendly private guest house in Great Yarmouth offering quality AA 4 star accommodation. We are open all year round and are situated in one of the nicest locations in Great Yarmouth, close to the beach and all attractions. Built as a merchant's house in the 1870's, the Bonheur retains many of its Victorian features which give the guest house a touch of old world elegance. Established as a hotel in 1935. |
| The Victorian guest lounge is equipped with digital TV, games and books. It overlooks Norfolk Square where our guests can enjoy a stroll around the well kept square, play with the children or just sit and relax in this haven of peace right in the heart of Yarmouth's sea front. We serve a varied breakfast menu, which includes many of the old favourites such as full English, but we also have dishes such as vegetarian full English, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. We also have a children's breakfast menu. |
Our guest bedrooms offer a high standard of spacious and comfortable accommodation at affordable prices. Most of our rooms have partial sea views and they are all en suite. The bedrooms have television and refreshment facilities. |
We are retaining the feel of the Victorian era while obviously still offering the high standard of comfort for which the Bonheur is renowned. We are improving the furnishings throughout, including a number of original Victorian pieces of furniture and light fittings that we hope will transform and grace the Bonheur with the richness and style of the Victorian era.

From Britannia Pier, 200 yards north along sea front turn left into Albemarle Road opposite bowling green. The Bonheur is 50 yards on the left. The Bonheur Guest House is situated in one of the nicest positions in Great Yarmouth. It overlooks private lawns of Norfolk Square, playing fields and the sea. It is centrally situated for theatres, sea front attractions and the town centre, and is only fifty yards from the beach.
