| A warm welcome awaits you at Beechwood Guest House, a period house set on the outskirts of the market town on the River Rase, known as Market Rasen, after it was granted permission to hold markets in the year 1215. Beechwood House is one of the oldest houses in the town. It is a reminder of a more 'genteel ear'. In yesteryear it was thatched, but it has since been renovated and refurbished, although keeping it's original charm and character. The house is set back from the road in half an acre of landscaped gardens with mature trees and ample off road parking. In good weather guests may sit in the garden or under the verandah. Beechwood offers a comfortable, friendly reception and professional service which are all up to the standards you have come to expect. You can rest assured that the atmosphere is always informal, pleasant and relaxing.   All our bedrooms are twins or doubles and mostly en-suite, one room being on the ground floor. They are individually decorated having colour television with satellite, tea and coffee facilities and radio alarm. A good start to the day begins in the elegant Dining Room, with a full Country House Breakfast. We offer Dinner by prior arrangement, are licensed to sell alcohol and cater for special dietary needs. We take pride in serving freshly cooked homemade dishes with a hint of classical cuisine. Beechwood House is a prefect base for visiting the attractive Lincolnshire Wolds and coast, ideal for walkers, cyclists, golfers and race goers. Market Rasen race course is renowned for its National Hunt and point to point meetings. Take a step back into history with a visit to Lincoln Castle, see the Magna Carta and enjoy the splendour of the Cathedral. |
| Where to Find Us . . . Beechwood House is situated on the A631 on the eastern side of the town almost opposite the turning to the race course. If you are coming from Lincoln or Gainsborough follow the A46 for Grimsby, then take the A631 to Market Rasen. Drive straight through the town towards the race course. Beechwood is approximately 50m beyond the petrol station on the left hand side of the road. Should you be coming from Louth Beechwood will beyond your right just past the race course. |
