Enjoy England 3 Stars

Beck Hall was built in 1710 and has been providing accommodation since the 1930's. Changes over the years mean that there are now 11 guest bedrooms, 9 double en-suite rooms and 2 twin room. Four of the rooms are 4-poster, the Green room plus Rooms 2, 6 and 9. We also have a spacious guest lounge where you can relax into the evening, plan the next days walks, or plot the 2 minute walk into Malham village to visit either of the fine pubs that will quench any thirst. On a colder winter night don't be surprised to be co-opted to maintain the log fire that occupies one end of the lounge. In the morning you will need an appetite for either the full English breakfast, vegetarian choice or a lighter continental selection. The choice is yours alone.

All of the rooms at Beck Hall are rather different and distinct. The 5 wings of Beck Hall have been added to the Hall at different times, and so often reflect the style of the time. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have central heating and heated towel rails. Some of the rooms are suitable for use as family rooms.

All rooms (with the exception of one of the twin's) are en-suite with shower, WC and wash basin. Room 1 (Twin) has its own private locked bathroom directly across the corridor. This bathroom has a full bath, as well as a shower. Some of our rooms are on the first floor of Beck Hall and are up normal household steps. We have 4 ground floor rooms suitable for people with mobility problems

Some of our rooms are dog friendly, specifically Rooms 2,3,4,6 and 7, 10, Aire and Lower Riverside. This is because these rooms are grouped around an outside entrance where dogs can enter the rooms directly without passing through the public areas of the Hall. Just right for those wet muddy paws!

We are entirely non-smoking indoors. There is a sheltered outdoor spot for those in need of a fix.

Bedrooms in Beck Hall's new (May 2007) and rather snazzy extension
All of the bedrooms in our extension are sympathetically fitted out to ensure that your stay with us is comfortable, warm and pleasant. The 7 bedrooms in the extension are separated from the wings of the main building by a short 30 yard streamside walk along a paved path, mind the ducks and rabbits! Upstairs the rooms are beamed with lovely high ceilings and both up and downstairs are light and airy with large windows, uplighters, televisions and tea/coffee facilities. Wifi internet is available in all the bedrooms.

We are very proud of all our rooms and really enjoy sharing their delights with our guests. We can safely say they are all different and slightly quirky.

Rates vary from £23 to £39 per person per night including full English,Vegetarian, gluten-free or Continental breakfast

Local Area
Malham is a small town and one of the most visited villages in the Yorkshire Dales. There are shops, pubs and teashops galore. Just what a serious walker, cyclist or family need before setting off for a strenuous walk up and around the many footpaths that criss-cross Malhamdale. For our less strenuously inclined visitors there are plenty of things to see in and around Malham village. The chance to dip your feet in the beck whilst taking in the village life around you never fails to attract. Coupled with some good refreshments, what more could nourish the soul? Market towns are nearby for shopping, such as Settle and Skipton. The Leeds/Liverpool canal passes by a few miles away, and the Settle-Carlisle Railway is a good bet for a day out. If the weather palls then there are caves nearby and other indoor attractions.

We have plenty of free parking at Beck Hall, so don’t let getting here worry you. There are also bus links with Skipton, Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield. And you can catch the train to Skipton, which is a pleasant 9 mile walk away. The Lake District and Windermere are an hours drive from us.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
