| The Bahamas is an independent family run guesthouse hotel located in Torquay, Devon. We offer a friendly, relaxed and informal atmosphere for couples, families and the business traveller. The hotel offers high quality guest accommodation operating on a bed & breakfast basis, with ample free parking for all hotel guests.
The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the Torquay hotel district, just a five minute level walk from Torquay main beach and promenade. A further ten minute walk along the promenade will bring you to Torquay Marina and the main shopping area. Closer still is the English Riviera Conference Centre with its conference, sporting and leisure pool facilities. The hotel is an easy five minute walk to the centre. Being centrally located, the hotel is within easy reach of all the attractions and amenities within Torquay and, for those without their own transport, the local bus and train services make travel to Babbacombe, Paington, Brixham and beyond very easy. The hotel offers a range of bedrooms from singles to family rooms all of which are furnished to a high standard and have full en-suite facilities, remote controlled colour TV, free broadband internet access, individually controlled central heating and complimentary toiletries, towels and tea & coffee making facilities. |

| Facilities The Bahamas aims to provide all of its guests a relaxing and comfortable stay. When not out discovering the local delights of the English Riviera, guests can choose to spend time in the hotel day lounge or alternatively enjoy a drink on our south facing patio. The Bahamas is fully licensed with a spacious bar lounge ideally suited for congregating prior to an evening out or, indeed a nightcap on your return. Breakfast is served in our separate dining room between the hours of 0830 to 0915 - although earlier breakfast times may be arranged by prior agreement. |

| All prices are per person per night. Single night stays are charge at £3pp extra. Weekly B&B rates are based on a 7 night stay. There is no charge for infants aged under 2 years old. Children aged from 2 to 16 years are charged at a flat rate of £15 per night, when sharing a family room. Cots are available for hire at £2 per night for stays of 1 & 2 nights. For stays of 3 nights or more a fee of £5 is charged. A supplement of £10 per night is payable for single occupancy in a double or twin room. A supplement of £15 per night is payable for single occupancy in a family room. Business rates will be confirmed on enquiry. | Location Torquay is located in South Devon in the area of Torbay which, due to its temperate climate, is known as the English Riviera. The most direct route from the Midlands and the North is along the M5 to its southern extremity at Exeter. From London and the Home Counties the two main routes are via the M4 to Bristol or the A303 to Exeter, in both cases linking up with the southbound M5. At the end of the M5 at Exeter, the road becomes the A38. Follow the A38 until it separates into the A30/A380. Take the A380 towards Torquay. This is dual carriageway through to the Penn Inn roundabout at Newton Abbot. Here, take the second exit signposted Torquay A380 and continue on this road until you reach the English Riviera roundabout. At the English Riviera roundabout go straight on, following the A3022 into Torquay. Keep to the left hand lane for approximately 2 miles until you see, on the right hand side, Torre Railway Station and a Halfords store - turn right at the traffic lights (signposted Seafront, Harbour, Paignton) into Avenue Road. |  |
