Welcome to the Ayden Guesthouse, Edinburgh, formerly known as the Acorn Guesthouse. The Ayden is a warm and gay-friendly guesthouse in a quiet location yet only 15 minutes walk from the heart of the City of Edinburgh.
At the Ayden Guesthouse we know the importance of an informative, attentive but unobtrusive service. Inspired to provide you with a place to relax after a busy day (or night) exploring this beautiful and vibrant city we have created a calm, warm and comfortable haven within our Victorian home.
The Ayden is set in a handsome Victorian terrace and has a sunny and bright ambience. Within the 19th century exterior you will discover contemporary interior design that features calm but warm colours and wonderful textures. |

Excellent Rooms
A carved wooden staircase takes you to the first of three floors and our five lovely bedrooms. The Ayden Guest House accommodates friends, couples or families.
- Two double-bedded rooms with en suite shower and toilet
- One double room with private facilities
- One family room (1 double and 3 single beds which can comfortably sleep 6) with en suite facilities
- One family room (1 double and 1 single bed) with en suite facilities
Rooms include:
- Television and tea and coffee making facilities
- Fully centrally heated with temperature control in each room
- Hairdryer, iron and alarm clock available on request
- Cot and highchair available on request
We are strictly no smoking throughout the guest house.

Satisfying breakfasts
Breakfasts with flair
You will be invited to start your day in the dining room on the ground floor. The wonderful bay window allows the room to flood with light creating a relaxed and comfortable environment where you can enjoy your breakfast and read the papers to the sound of classical music.
Innes has worked as a chef in many restaurants throughout Edinburgh for 18 years. Our breakfast menu will change with the seasons but will always offer something a little different along side the favourite Full Scottish Breakfast! |  |

Prices are on a per person per night basis and include breakfast and taxes.
Prices range from £27 - £50 per person for double or shared occupancy.Single room rates start from £40.

The Ayden Guest House accepts cash, cheque, Switch, Solo and Visa or Mastercard.
Guest House Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made within the 14 days prior to arrival - 1 night's accommodation payable.
- Cancellations made within the 7 days prior to arrival - the total booking cost payable (when the booking is for more than one night).
- All cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by us.
