Airlie Mount is a friendly family run Victorian Mansion House set within beautiful mature gardens in the quiet Perthshire town of Alyth.

A very warm welcome awaits from Fraser and Florence McNeil. We cater for the able and the not so able, pets are also made very welcome.

Sporting activities available locally include:

Golf

Over twenty courses within easy reach such as the world famous Championship courses of St Andrews, and Carnoustie. There are also several within a 5-mile radius including the Strathmore Golf Centre and we are pleased to arrange you start times.

Angling

Game anglers are spoilt for choice. The Rivers Tay, Isla, Ericht are famous for salmon, the king of fish. Trout Anglers can choose between rivers, burns or spend a day on one of the numerous lochs. Course fishing is also available. Fishing can be taken by the week, day and sometimes it is free!

Shooting

Various kinds of game shooting are available. Driven Grouse, Pleasant, Duck, Geese, Pigeon. Opportunities for stalking Red Deere, Roe Deer and Sika are plentiful.

Clay Target shooting is also available. Novices can receive tuition whilst more experienced shots can choose from Sporting, D.T.L., Skeet A.B.T.

Hill Walking

A range of picturesque walks graded from country strolls to mountain treks are all around in Glenisla, the Angus glens and for the more experienced, the southern Grampian Mountains. Some of the easier walks are also suitable for wheelchair users and advice is freely available.

Skiing

Ideally situated for Scotland's largest ski area, the Glenshee ski resort. A variety of runs to suit all abilities from nursery to advanced are catered for. Ski hire can easily be arranged if required.

Bowling

Alyth Bowling Club is a few hundred yards away and visitors are very welcome.

Touring

Less than an hour's drive is Breamar, Perth, Dundee, Forfar, Blairgowrie, Dunkeld and Pitlochry. Balmoral Caste, Glamis Castle and Angus Folk Museum are just some of the many historic sights close at hand. We are happy to give the benefit of our local knowledge to ensure you have a memorable drive.
