Facilities Claire and Jon look forward to welcoming you to Acreland Green. Our house is situated in the heart of beautiful Essex countryside between the picturesque villages of Pleshey and High Easter. Our two en-suite bedrooms arefurnished to a very high standard and each is equipped with TV/DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. Ironing facilities are also available. Acreland green is a 'No Smoking' B&B.

Comfort Our well equipped and comfortable bedrooms have everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay with us.

Food Our extensive breakfast menu uses quality produce from local suppliers where possible. With notice, special dietary needs can be catered for. A sample breakfast menu Orange Juice Cereal or Yoghurt Full English Breakfast Eggs boiled, poached, scrambled or fried Smoked haddock Smoked salmon and scrambled egg Kippers Fresh fruit Toast Marmalade, honey and jam Tea or Coffee With advanced notice, arrangements can be made for flowers, fruit and chocolates to be provided for those special occasions. For lunch time and evening meals, there are a wide variety of good pubs and restaurants just a short drive away. Activities Acreland Green is situated in the heart of beautiful rural Essex countryside. The local area has an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways including the 'Essex Way' which offer unsurpassed walking and off road cycling opportunities. The towns of Dunmow, Chelmsford, Braintree and Bishops Stortford are within easy reach of Acreland Green as is Stansted Airport which is just 20 minutes away by car. For those wishing to explore, there are many picturesquevilllages nearby including Pleshey and High Easter. Also nearby is Hatfield Forest (National Trust) and Hyde Hall Gardens (Royal Horticultural Society) whilst for those looking to explore a little further afield, entertaining days out can be enjoyed at Colchester Zoo, Duxford Imperial War Museum or perhaps a visit to Clacton or Walton on Naze. The 'Maidens Barn' function suite is only 1.5 miles away whilst the 'Reid Rooms' are approximately 5 miles away. For those who like to explore, there are many picturesque villages, churches, traditional cottages and antique shops. Hatfield Forest (National Trust), Hyde Hall Gardens (Royal Horticultural Society) are close by, as is Colchester Zoo. The Essex Way is a very short walk from the house and there are also plenty of other well-signed public footpaths by which you can enjoy the Countryside.

Surroundings Our own well tended gardens are available for guests to wander round and enjoy. Rare plant and shrub varieties make for an interesting amble in the grounds, whilst wildlife abounds with Deer and Foxes often being spotted in thenearby fields.
